All programs use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Therapy (BT), and Behavioural Activation (BA) tools, alongside progressive functional restoration plans. We begin by identifying your current level of activity and discussing what matters to you, followed by collaboratively creating a plan that moves in your valued direction. Therapeutic tools are introduced as treatment progresses to assist with the challenges that show up along the way.
A common concern and the truth is, it is possible that they will increase (at least temporarily); however, we work with your healthcare team to ensure that treatment elements will not cause harm. Starting new things typically brings emotional and physical discomfort. Our program aims to help you build tools to navigate these challenges as you move towards meaningful goals.
We provide assistance with all aspects of the return-to-work process, including skill development job searching, resume building, and interviewing.
We take a whole person approach to treatment where we consider your physical, emotional and social needs to recovery. We work with you step by step (literally and figuratively speaking) to help you get to where you want to be.
